 - Tech Sew 2750 pro industrial, modern domestic Brother Innovis 2400
Recommended Skill level - Intermediate to advanced sewing skills recommended.
Cut and Sew - 6-8 hours
Material used -

  • Sassy - Pink cotton woven from a local quilting store and a lightweight silver leather on the exterior. The inside is constructed of a thin stiff pink leather. Used 7 and 10mm rivets and silver rectangle rings.  SF 101 on the cotton woven and Decovil heavy.
  • Petite Clear vinyl for the front and back center and solid color vinyl for the side accent pieces and gussets all from local sewing store.    Decovil light for the side accent pieces and gussets.

"This Sassy is very sleek and classy. I love all of Jassie Teo's patterns. I highly suggest following the recommended fabric and interfacing guidance she has laid out in this pattern. Some patterns should be followed as the designer has created and this is one of those patterns. The design provides structure on its own without needing to add any more structure from the materials you choose (if you use leather I suggest that it either be for the exterior or the lining but not for both). You will love how you can get a 3-dimensional look with very few pattern pieces."

"This pattern is definitely my new favourite pattern and I already have my next few cut and imagining more in my head. It's a super fun make, and although there are some parts that I thought would be challenging, it actually all came together easily and hassle free thanks to the easy-to-understand instructions and the way every step is broken down. I love the versatility and functionality of the bag, there's pockets exactly where you would need them and want them, i also love that the main compartment is large and easily accessible with a large opening. It's a really cute bag and looks super impressive. I can definitely see this bag being a regular sew for me, not only is the sewing process super enjoyable, but the end bag is adorable!"

"The Sassy and Sassy Petite is absolutely to die for and a must have for your bag collection! My family (yes they snapped up all the bags that I made during the testing round) and I can’t stop raving about how classy AND functional it looks. There are SO many pockets (customisable to your needs of course), the 3D design of the bag makes it much roomier than it seems, AND I can make the grab handle detachable if I wish to. What’s not to like about this design?! The instructions are fabulous as usual, with a page that includes some of the design and customisation possibilities for the bag. Step by step full colour photos are included for every single step to ensure that your bag making journey is a smooth and enjoyable one. Jassie has also included many tips in this pattern!"

"Instructions were very good and easy to follow. Love that there’s an ability to mix and match the panels to create different looks. Sassy petite compliments the Sassy to make a cute mommy and me set. If you don’t want a larger bag the Sassy petite is the perfect mini handbag that can be worn as a crossbody and even though it’s smaller it still packs a lot!   The Sassy looks intricate and complex to make but with well written instructions this 3D bag can be created by any advanced beginner."

"The designer has once again outdone herself. She has definitely spoiled us with this design by providing us the option of interchanging look. Ranging from cute to stylish, hip to classy with two sizes. Depending on the kind of materials you use, there are so many options that I'm blown by it. I'm so in love with the structure and shape of the bag. Something that is not constraint to the usual shape.  The instructions easily understand and is the best one out of so many pattern instructions I have purchase."
