This pattern offers endless possibilities, with options for various pocket styles and single or dual zipper compartments.
This pattern is inspired by my early custom bag-making days, specifically a bag called Be Small, a discontinued pattern by Jujube. Intriguingly, I sought out a custom bag maker from the USA to create the Be Small, and I was fascinated by how a handmade bag could achieve such a beautiful form, which ignited my passion for sewing.
When I introduced the Be Small and Mini Be Small in my custom shop, they quickly became favorites among my designs due to their compact size and wide opening.
For the past three years, I hesitated to design a zippered rectangular satchel due to the market's saturation with similar designs. I pondered how I could bring something unique to the table. After thorough market research, I chose to innovate by incorporating a built-in zipper wallet, making this Pandora Allure an excellent choice for everyday travel.
The Pandora Allure combines functionality and elegance, offering a unique solution for those seeking both style and organization in their everyday bags.
At first glance, the Pandora Allure may appear to be a standard satchel, but it unfolds to reveal a spacious interior packed with pockets for organization, reminiscent of discovering Pandora's treasure.
Discover the Pandora Allure, featuring a seamless handle for added elegance and functionality. Designed with a dual zipper compartment and pockets galore, it includes:
Front & Back Exterior
- Slip pockets secured by magnetic snaps
Front Zipper Compartment:
- 3D Pockets
- Slip Pocket
- Divider Zipper Pocket
Back Zipper Compartment (Built-in Wallet):
- 6 Card Slot Pockets
- 2 Zipper Pockets
- 2 Slip Pockets
The pattern pieces are interchangeable, making customization easy. You can adjust the internal pockets or increase the number of card slot pockets to 18. Additionally, you can choose to omit the back zipper compartment in favor of a single zipper compartment, which will make for a quicker sew.
Below is an illustration of a single zipper compartment featuring 3D pockets, as well as zipper and slip pockets.
This pattern is completed using the binding method. As always, SVG and projector files are provided, along with a comprehensive video tutorial for a seamless sew-along experience. Gather your supplies and sew along with us!
