Draw inspiration from the exceptional skills of 17 talented bag makers worldwide! Explore the sewing machines and fabrics they utilized. May their stunning creations ignite your creativity as much as they have mine.

All the materials used are from Sewfisticated Supplies with the Sewfisive Foam (self-adhesive stabilizer).  I used a semi-industrial sewing machine Juki TL-2200QVP Mini.

Thumbs & Thimbles debossed vinyl / Oh So Pretty Custom Fabric Faux Suede for the exterior, and lining using Ottertex WPC with PVC coating.  Main Panel - Bosal Foam / Gusset - Decovil Light as the stabilizer.

Material used -

I used Tula Pinks Everglow prints in Cotton Woven for both interior and exterior print areas, I used Mora Faux leather from Emmaline bags for exterior gusset. For binding I used waterproof canvas and stabilizers included, pellon fusible foam, Pellon 91F (heavy) and sewfuse for all cotton. All of my hardware came from various sources in which I cannot remember but my butterfly pull and zipper tape came from Indo Love Kreation.  Foam as the stabilizer.

Vinyl from Sewfisticated Supplies, Sewfisticated Twill from Sewfisticated supplies, 420D Waterproof canvas for slip pockets from Sewfisticated Supplies. I did for the Gusset only - Sewfisive foam Heavy.

"I LOVE the curves of this bag!! It's so gorgeous and is such an on trend yet timeless style. I love that you can wear this bag in various ways, and I love the pockets that you have managed to fit in despite the curves. This make was the right mix of challenging and fun, it's definitely a fantastic skill builder for working with curves and I learnt how to do pipping too!"

"The Luna Bag is a versatile bag for all ages. I know curves can be scary but let me tell you this curve is perfect to sew. It's like my machine could feel the curve and needed very little guidance from me. When I first saw the pattern, I automatically thought these would be great mommy and me bags. I sewed up one set and they turned out so amazing that I immediately sewed up another pair. To be honest I can't stop making the Luna. I've even made a petite one for my little 2yr old cousin. I see many more Lunas in my future."

"This was a fun challenge! The big/small (e.g., mommy and me) coordinating opportunities are endless! <3 I definitely recommend a narrow foot - I love my low shank narrow zipper foot, and it was an absolute must for this pattern! "

"Luna is such a cute pattern and so fast to sew up. Best pattern for mommy n me bags and I definitely plan on making those soon! My recommendation is to definitely follow the introductions for the perfect crescent shape and not skip those steps."

"The design of the aptly named Luna is fantastic and unique. I love the curved silhouette; I feel like it sits nicely on the wearer more so than your traditionally shaped bag. Sewing the curve when it sits right is perfection. As a more minimalist in what I look for in a bag the Regular has all the features you need. With a full enclosed bag and two zipper pockets placed closely to the wearer helps to protect items when being carried crossbody. As always with a Sewfisticated pattern, it is well written with clear instruction, and the bonus of having two sizes in one pattern makes for the perfect mini me set."

"As a maker I am always looking to expand my abilities. I had never tried piping before and this pattern broke it down for me. The Luna has a beautiful curve at the top and following the pattern made that turn out well. The petite size is great for on the go and the regular size is a beautiful sling or shoulder bag that has a lot more room than you think. Also the pattern pieces have the info you need on them that keeps everything in order which is fantastic when making a new pattern."
