I would rate the Pollies Pocket pattern as ‘Confident Beginner’ since there are 2 zippers and clear vinyl to be worked with. A pretty accessible design otherwise, do take note that the smaller the pouch you choose to make, the more challenging it will be. The Pollies Pocket comes together pretty quickly once you are comfortable with the zippers. From cutting to final assembly, it takes me less than 1.5 hours after being familiarised with the sewing steps.

An all-rounded practical purse with main zipper compartments for cash and coins, a handy pocket compartment for tissue or small necessities, a clear vinyl front zipper pocket for cards/ token, a D-ring for easy attaching to a lanyard, bag or sanitiser sleeve for added portability, and a slot pocket for storing of mask or other essentials, secured by a snap button.

Suitable for ALL ages, this pattern can be customised for different sizes, uses and looks, according to your creativity. The perfect combination of functionality and style, the Pollies Pocket zippered pouch is truly the quintessential accessory for the growing up little-big kids, the elderly with minimal essentials as well as the modern busy adults of today!

SUPPLIES

• Waterproof fabric is highly recommended for quality finishing and durability
• Suitable for woven cotton fabric
• W18” by H6” (W46cm by H15cm) of exterior fabric (extra fabric if you are fussy-cutting) • W24” by H6” (W61cm by H15cm) of lining fabric
• 1 x W3⅜” by H5⅞” (W9cm by 15cm) Clear vinyl (3mm/12 gauge thickness)
• Lightweight Woven Interface (fabric dependent)
• 1 x 8” (20cm) nylon zipper or 6¾” (17cm) zipper by the yard (#3 zipper is preferred)
• 1 x 7” (18cm) nylon zipper or 5⅞” (15cm) zipper by the yard (#3 zipper is preferred)
• 1 x ½” (1.3cm) D ring
• 1 set of Kam snap or metal snap buttons
• 2 x stabiliser scraps of ½”x 1” (1.3cm by 2.5cm) – Decovil or Felt

Please be aware that there is a limit of 5 downloads per purchase, so it's recommended to download the files to your devices for ease of access.

When printing the pattern pieces using your computer and Adobe Reader, ensure that you select the "Actual" size option and measure the 1" or 2.5/3 cm test box to confirm that your pattern pieces are printed at the correct size. Select "Automatic" for paper orientation to ensure proper alignment. Please note that using tablets or smartphones may result in deviations.

All cutting measurements provided throughout the pattern are listed as width x height.

Seam allowances (SA) are highlighted in RED throughout the pattern instructions for easy reference.

Measurements are given in both Imperial (Inches) and Metric (CM) units for your convenience.

Video Tutorial

All our patterns come with an approved video tutorial. You are welcome to create your own video tutorials, provided you follow these guidelines:

- Always include a link to the pattern.
- Do not share or show paper pattern pieces or measurements.
- Avoid displaying your cut pieces on a gridded cutting mat throughout the video.
