INTRODUCTION

This has been a long time coming! Ever since the Sewfisticated Laptop pattern back in 2021, I’ve wanted to design a padded strap. I was never fond of the typical removable padded style strap - it often sticks out awkwardly at the shoulder blade.

A special thanks to Jenn Hoopert-McGinn from Jenn's Homemadeology, our amazing SCD moderator, a brilliant idea came to life: a padded center sleeve flanked by two adjustable straps on either side!

Wider straps typically offer more comfort but often demand bulkier hardware. With this padded sling strap, you get the best of both worlds: the comfort of a wider strap, while still being compatible with standard 1" (2.5 cm) or even up to 1.5" (3.8 cm) hardware. Functional, sleek, and 100% Sewfisticated-approved! Plus, it includes a handy D-ring so you can keep your favorite accessories within arm’s reach.

Please be aware that there is a limit of 5 downloads per purchase, so it's recommended to download the files to your devices for ease of access.

When printing the pattern pieces using your computer and Adobe Reader, ensure that you select the "Actual" size option and measure the 1" or 2.5/3 cm test box to confirm that your pattern pieces are printed at the correct size. Select "Automatic" for paper orientation to ensure proper alignment. Please note that using tablets or smartphones may result in deviations.

Measurements

All cutting measurements provided throughout the pattern are listed as width x height.

Seam allowances (SA) are highlighted in RED throughout the pattern instructions for easy reference.

Measurements are given in both Imperial (Inches) and Metric (CM) units for your convenience.

All our patterns come with an approved video tutorial. You are welcome to create your own video tutorials, provided you follow these guidelines:

- Always include a link to the pattern.
