The Sewfisticated Be Hip comes in 3 sizes, 3 versions and 3 styles.
You can use it as a crossbody sling bag or as a fanny waist bag, both hands-free! Be Hip came about when my daughter was an active toddler (she still is super active now at 6). I love to travel light yet still be equipped with basic toddler essentials - wet wipes, tissue, water bottle, umbrella, wallet and spare diapers/clothes. Easy phone access was important to me as I loved to capture my girl’s fun moments.
I was an avid Jujube x Tokidoki diaper bag fan mommy back then, yet I couldn’t find any suitable crossbody sling bag which can fully meet all my needs. After extensive research and prototyping, my first Be Hip was conceived in July 2019, and the style went on to be my bestseller during my custom bag-making journey.
More than 100 Be Hips were made with many returning customers requesting for more in different sizes and prints. Making Be Hip was fun as minimal fabric is required and I could easily sew up to three Be Hips in a day.
As a bag pattern designer now, slight adjustments have been made which feature even fewer pattern pieces to allow greater ease in sewing. I hope this pattern will be a fun sew for you and a HIT in your shops, like it was for me.
